Dr. Kaitlyn Oberembt grew up on an acreage in Adel, Iowa, a small town west of Des Moines. It is here she developed a passion for the field of veterinary medicine while caring for numerous orphaned pets and wildlife with her mother, a devoted veterinary technician. 

Dr. Oberembt attended Iowa State University where she obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science and Biology in 2011 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Following veterinary school, Dr. Oberembt completed a one year equine internship at a private practice in Ocala, Florida before moving to Lexington, Kentucky where she continued to practice exclusively on horses. She returned to Iowa, where she practiced mixed animal medicine until 2018. 

Dr. Oberembt has been with the All City Pet Care West team since 2018. She enjoys many aspects of the veterinary profession including internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and wellness care. Establishing lasting relationships and interacting with the clients and their pets is the best part of her profession.

Dr. Oberembt resides on a farm in Akron, Iowa with her family. She enjoys spending time with her family working with livestock on the farm, riding horses, baking or cooking, and gardening.
