Dr. Angie Plahn joined All City Pet Care West in June of 2006 after graduating with honors from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa. She enjoys the everyday challenge and unpredictability that general small animal practice provides. Her focus lies within the fields of small animal internal medicine, dermatology and surgery. Her professional goal is to continue to practice high quality medicine by staying current on new and upcoming treatments and procedures while building caring and lasting relationships with her clients and their pets. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Plahn grew up on a farm outside of Canton, South Dakota where she could always be seen helping her dad tend to the cows, calves, dogs, cats, and chickens. Throughout her childhood years, she bottle fed and raised many calves and kittens while always dreaming of becoming a veterinarian when she grew up. After graduating from Canton High School, she attended Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota and received B.A. degrees in Biology and Chemistry. During that time she traveled to Washington D.C. and performed with the Star of Minnesota Marching Band at President George W. Bush’s Inauguration in 2001. Dr. Plahn and her husband, Brian, live in Harrisburg with their two wonderful daughters, Kaylee and Kiana. Other family members include Timber (pictured), a loving Tibetan Spaniel and Mercury, a hearing impaired domestic short haired cat. When Dr. Plahn isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family! Some of her hobbies include traveling, water and snow skiing, reading, music, scrapbooking, and just spending time outdoors.
